Vocal nodules. Typically caused by vocal abuse that results in a hoarse, raspy voice that fatigues easily.
Reflux laryngitis. Inflammation or irritation of the larynx (voice box) secondary to excessive stomach acid resulting in hoarsenss, fullness of the throat and/or frequent throat clearing.
Laryngeal papilloma. Growths of the larynx caused by a virus.
Vocal fold polyps. Swelling of areas of the vocal cord that may resulting from voice abuse, reflux laryngitis or smoking.
Vocal fold paralysis. Inability of the vocal cord(s) to move that may be the result of trauma, tumors, stroke or other nerve injuries.
Laryngeal cancer. Growths of the larynx typically associated with tobacco/alcohol use which early on may be painless hoarseness of the voice.
Dysphonias. Irregular voice breaks that may result from neurologic or muscle disorders.
Vocal fold cysts. Fluid-filled or solid sacs within the vocal cord.
